RaceWeek is a multimedia motorsport plan launched in mid-2020 before the 2020 Formula One Season started. It started as a YouTube channel where video reviews from each day of track action were posted, illustrating the events in a more visual form. But it was always intended to be a multimedia platform, including a twitter account, a website, and also an audio show as well.
This site has been founded by myself, Matthew Tuson, a Media & Communications Student at the University of Winchester. I have been a fan of Formula One since late infant school when my dad turned on the TV one night and put on the 2005 Canadian Grand Prix. Since then I have been hooked. I watch every single session, love being trackside at races. I dream of being trackside for a living and doing a media job in Formula One.
The thing that is intended to set RaceWeek apart from other journalist sites is whilst all current major motorsport journalistic firms do an incredible job of giving the viewers the insight into Formula One and motorsport, I prefer a more simple, visual way of consuming journalism, I feel like a site that allows for a simpler, more visual experience when consuming motorsport, is lacking. RaceWeek intends to rectify this and present the motorsport fandom with a new way of consuming motorsport.
