The start proved pivotol to the race outcome. Reverse pole sitter Amaury Cordeel got a poor launch and was swamped by both Arthur Leclerc and Logan Sargeant. Leclerc managed to take the lead into the first corner, whilst Cordeel dropped out of contention after contact with Alexander Smolyar put him out of contention.
From then on it was a defensive effort from Leclerc who for much of the race had to fend off Sargeant, who had a run a few times, and even had to contend with a safety car for contact between Jonathan Hoggard and Hunter Yeany. But he prevailed and managed to take the victory, ahead of Sargeant and Ayumu Iwasa took third.
Jak Crawford finished in fourth ahead of Caio Collet in fifth and Jack Doohan in sixth. Dennis Hauger managed to work his way up to seventh from twelfth gaining crucial points in the championship, ahead of Victor Martins, Frederik Vesti and Olli Caldwell rounded out the points. Whilst Ido Cohen has a great opportunity later on with reverse grid pole.
