F3 Austria: Vesti wins final race in Austria

It was another action packed race to bring an action packed weekend of Formula 3 racing to an end, which saw Frederik Vesti take the victory after a 3 way battle with team-mate Alexander Smolyar and championship leader Dennis Hauger. Eventually he remained there and despite a safety car period resulting from an incident between Clement Novalak, Arthur Leclerc and Victor Martins when battling in the middle of the points, he maintained his advantage and won.

Dennis Hauger may be slightly disappointed not to win especially after a squandered VSC restart from a period resulting from Jak Crawford and Jack Doohan colliding, but he finished in second ahead of Olli Caldwell, who had a lucky escape in the Novalak/Leclerc/Martins incident and then got ahead of Smolyar, taking third place.

Matteo Nannini finished in fifth ahead of Ayumu Iwasa in sixth and Caio Collet, who fought his way through from the back of the field after stalling on the grid to finish in seventh. Logan Sargeant finished in eighth, with Calan Williams and Jonny Edgar completing the points finishers.

Here is the provisional result of the race, though this may change due to track limits violations.
