The final Formula 2 race of the weekend was a frenetic one, but 17 year old Theo Pourchaire commanded the race, taking his first ever Formula 2 victory and becoming the youngest winner in the series history around the streets of Monaco.
Robert Shwartzman put him under pressure throughout the race but a botched pitstop put him out of contention. This promoted Oscar Piastri to second, who resisted attacks from Dan Ticktum who ended up running out of road at La Rascasse and out of the race.
Felipe Drugovich made the alternate strategy work finishing in third ahead of a disappointed Robert Shwartzman in fourth. Guanyu Zhou went very long on his first stint and finished in fifth place ahead of Ralph Boschung, who completed a great weekend to finish in sixth. Liam Lawson bounced back from having victory snatched from him through a technical infringement to finish in seventh ahead of Juri Vips in eighth, Roy Nissany in ninth and Richard Verschoor rounding out the top 10.
It was an incident packed race with Dan Ticktum, Lirim Zendeli, Marcus Armstrong and Jehan Daruvala all retiring due to incidents.
Here is the result of the final Formula 2 race.
