Despite being unhappy with the final sector it was Max Verstappen who topped the timesheets in final practice at Portimao on a 1.18.489, 2 tenths ahead of Lewis Hamilton who set the second fastest time.
Valtteri Bottas was third for Mercedes ahead of Sergio Perez in fourth, and Esteban Ocon, who continued to show solid pace for Alpine ended the session in fifth fastest.
The two Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz ended the session sixth and seventh ahead of a struggling McLaren of Lando Norris in eighth. The top 10 was rounded out by Pierre Gasly and Kimi Raikkonen, who had a decent session in the Alfa Romeo.
