Bahrain GP: Verstappen extends advantage in final practice

Max Verstappen set searing pace in final practice in Bahrain, where he set a 1.30.577. A whopping 7 tenths ahead of Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes, making them undisputed favourites going into qualifying.

Pierre Gasly once again demonstrated the pace of the AlphaTauri, setting the third fastest time ahead of Valtteri Bottas in fourth, and Sergio Perez in fifth. Carlos Sainz once again set a solid time for Ferrari in sixth.

Kimi Raikkonen once again showed pace in the Alfa Romeo, setting the seventh fastest time, ahead of Esteban Ocon, in an Alpine that looked tricky to drive. Lance Stroll was ninth for Aston Martin, with Daniel Ricciardo rounding out the top 10.
