Sakhir GP: Verstappen tops final practice

It was Max Verstappen who topped the final practice session before qualifying. Despite a spin at Turn 2, he beat out Valtteri Bottas, in a Mercedes team who looked to be hiding something in this session.

Pierre Gasly set the third fastest time in the AlphaTauri, the Italian team once again showing solid pace, ahead of a good showing from Esteban Ocon in fourth place. In fifth place was Lando Norris in fifth ahead of Alexander Albon in sixth and George Russell in seventh. The two Racing Point cars of Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll ended eighth and ninth, with Carlos Sainz rounding out the top 10.

Whilst it was a difficult session for Ferrari, Charles Leclerc having an eventful time of things including a spin, whilst Sebastian Vettel’s session ended early due to an engine change.
