Its been a very good first day in the car for George Russell as he has now topped both of the Friday sessions. He led Max Verstappen by one tenth of a second. It was another poor session for Valtteri Bottas, who simply struggled to get dialled in, had multiple laptimes deleted and ended the session in eleventh.
Sergio Perez set the third fastest time ahead of Esteban Ocon in fourth, Alexander Albon in fifth and a good showing from Daniil Kvyat in sixth. Lance Stroll set the seventh fastest time ahead of Daniel Ricciardo who completed a good session for Renault. Pierre Gasly was ninth with Carlos Sainz rounding out the top 10.
It was not a clean session for everyone, Charles Leclerc could not set a time due to an issue which kept him garage bound for much of the session, whilst Lando Norris only managed 14 laps also due to an issue which kept him garage bound.
