Turkish GP: Verstappen tops soggy final practice

The Saturday morning practice session saw Max Verstappen make it a clean sweep of practice sessions topped, on a 1.48.485, ahead of Charles Leclerc, who appears to be taking the slippier conditions in his stride. However it was not a clean session for the Ferrari as he collided with Esteban Ocon in the early stages. Alexander Albon was third fastest ahead of Ocon.

Lando Norris was fifth fastest for McLaren ahead of Sebastian Vettel in sixth, Sergio Perez in seventh, and Valtteri Bottas in eighth. Kevin Magnussen was ninth with Lance Stroll rounding out the top 10.

It was a tricky session for everyone, starting on the intermediate tyre, but as the rain got heavier, the drivers spent the majority of the last half of the session in the garage. There were a lot of spins and it explains why the order is quite jumbled. Neither Williams or championship leader Lewis Hamilton even set a time. However there is hope the rain could clear before qualifying.

Here is the result of FP3 from Istanbul.
